Energize 2023 Day 5 featured outside experts from the electric energy industry who discussed today’s opportunities and necessities for automation. Day 6 featured leaders from other industry domains exchanging ideas about other real-world uses of AI and automation. The ANB team continued to be energized around the application of automation, which spurred many questions and comments from the speakers.
The first session featured a round table discussion of industry leaders from health care, energy production, and agriculture spaces. Each speaker highlighted how artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly transforming their specific businesses. In health care, AI and ML assist oncology researchers in identifying new treatments. Likewise, in energy production, it is assisting in the development of carbon capture and geothermal production. Agriculture is using it to maintain and treat crops precisely. All speakers agreed that automation performs a job, not necessarily replacing a human. Only in a few circumstances, like conducting a dangerous task, could humans be replaced. The final session featured breakthroughs at the micro level in healthcare, where AI and ML assist healthcare providers in providing treatments and new medical breakthroughs.
ANB’s CTO commented that AI and ML would elevate and empower people. A person’s role may change, but it will remain important to work processes. Over 200 ANBites attended today’s sessions. They will undoubtedly take inspiration from the speakers and focus on new potential applications in ANB’s products.
