Reporting Manager

Reports and Dashboards are the windows into our database that need to be appropriately designed and implemented, ensuring that the specific needs of the users are met. Reports have different functions and can be classified into Operational, Regulatory, Compliance, Exception, Management, and Budget/Ledger types of reports. Reports can be rendered in different formats and on different devices. ANB is looking for a reporting manager for its eTRACK+ suite of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire user experience and back-end activities related to reporting from the eTP suite of products
  • Deliver a consistent and good looking functional set of reports on time and to the satisfaction of clients
  • Develop tools and processes to enhance the report development and delivery process
  • Distinguish between report types such as long running, archival, instantaneous, dashboards, formats, etc and set appropriate expectations
  • Manage the team of report developers as well as interactions with the BA, Devops, Development, Data Science, Infrastructure, QA, and UI/UX teams
  • Interact with the BAs to understand reporting requirements and suggest/implement methods to meet customer expectations
  • Interact with the Data Science team to gather insights and present them to users
  • Interact with the Infrastructure team to ensure that reporting infrastructure is adequate and appropriate
  • Interact with the development and architecture team to ensure that reporting elements are built into the architecture and the software
  • Interact with the UI/UX team to develop good looking reporting templates
  • Interact with the QA team to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Interact with the DevOps team to ensure that reporting is not a drain on the infrastructure and can be managed appropriately.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science
  • 10 years experience with software development or analysis with a minimum of five years in reporting and dashboarding
  • Knowledge of data lake concepts and AWS architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
  • Knowledge of shell scripting, Javascript, and .NET technologies
  • Experience with user experience and user interface design
  • Experience with BI tools a plus (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies
