ANB Systems offers an Energy Efficiency Planning model, an online system for conducting cost benefit analysis of energy efficiency and demand side management programs. ePlan is founded upon decades of experience in planning studies and utility DSM filings. This system helps utilities design, analyze, and develop DSM portfolios and file these with the utility commissions.
ePlan has evolved from a spreadsheet model that
has been used in regulatory filings in Indiana,
Ohio, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York.
It is a simplified model that uses the California
protocols for computation of the Total Resource
Cost benefits and costs. It also analyzes the portfolio
from a utility, participant and non-participant
perspective. The data entry into the system is minimal
and consists of measure attributes, program budgets,
market penetration estimates, electric and gas tariffs,
and avoided costs. The system allows for very easy
what if analysis. It uses both the user interface
as well as excel templates to load data. Reports
are downloadable into excel for further analysis.
